Rainy Days and Mondays....

It is a rainy day and a Monday. Sammy was crabby this morning at therapy, at the bank, at the post office and at the library. I have a HUGE headache from all his whines. I put him down for a nap without even nursing him, poor guy. I just was done with the morning, he cried for a minute but now is playing with Joseph when they both should be sleeping. I threatened to not take anyone under five to the library from now on, but I know next week we will all be back, and I will get another headache. I just love them being able to go and pick out movies and books, it is such a great time for them, but a headache for me. We were driving home and Sammy was still whining Joseph looked at him and said "Don't even start it Sammy!" Oh goll they listen to everything we say!!!

Sammy had a busy weekend which is probably why he is so whiny today. He has now mastered stair climbing, we have 30 stairs in our house, and Sammy can climb them all. Before Saturday he would climb five or six but then turn around and that was that. On Saturday he climbed and climbed and climbed all the way upstairs. We were cheering him on and on. Today as I was fixing breakfast, I am realizing that this is going to make my life a bit more challenging when Daniel is not home. He still needs someone behind him to make sure he doesn't fall, and once he gets to the top he doesn't know how to get back down. He has a nice rug burn on his head from an attempt to get down the stairs without help.

Remember how last week I said that he was not cruising furniture well this past week he started to do that as well. VERY slowly, we have a ways before that skill is mastered. Though who knows he always surprises me how fast he picks something up. He is a quick learner, we will show him how to do something and he does things the exact way that we taught him. So far he has made it from one end of the couch to the other end. He will stand with his one hand out just thinking about moving to the coffee table, he stands there for a good long time just thinking about how he can do this. Then he decides to crawl and pull back up. He still isn't fast at pulling to a stand, but he is very good at it now. He just amazes us how quickly he is figuring out how to adapt to his weak side. YAH SAMMY!!!

I love that Sammy keeps surprising you and keeping you on your toes. Glad you have so many little helpers to keep an eye on your little mover and shaker!
